12 years of poverty-fighting music

Oxjam started out in 2006 with the aim of creating a network of music loving people across the UK, all united by a shared goal – to raise money to fight poverty around the world with Oxfam. Since then we have hosted more than 60,000 musicians at hundreds of Oxjam Festivals spanning the whole of the UK, playing to an audience of over 1.5 million people.

Over the course of the last twelve years, Oxjam has built a reputation for bringing music fans the hottest new and unsigned bands, many of whom have gone on to achieve both critical and commercial success. In fact, we’ve provided a platform for so many artists that it is hard to keep track of just who has graced the Oxjam stage!

Our 2018 Festival teams are hard at work planning an incredible month of music in October, but until then, have a browse of our archive pages to find out the who, what, when and where of the last 12 years of poverty-fighting music.

In 2016 we celebrated a decade of Oxjam in style, with Mystery Jets, Stealing Sheep, Fatboy Slim and Boxed In all joining the Oxjam family at a special launch show in one of our very own Oxfam shops.
