Great blog with some interesting comments. But its pretty bias towards England and the US in particular. In your latest book you give heaps of examples of real people who live out the consequences of our debate and discourse. Where are these reflections here? I had expected more of that. One other thing – why are health and education linked together and not seperate categories?

OK Shupiwe, will try and correct the UK/US bias. I’m off to South Africa and Zambia in a few days, (launching the South African edition of From Poverty to Power and looking at the impact of the financial crisis), so that should help
