Please steal these powerpoints – a 6 presentation course on 'How Change Happens'

In a spirit of open data, transparency, peace, love etc, here are my powerpoints from a recent marathon weekend seminar on how change happens, at Brandeis University in Boston (see previous post for a bit more background). If you want to download and adapt them, feel free. Just click on slideshare in the bottom left corner of each presentation and then click on download from there.

Duncan, thanks for posting these. I like the framing of the issues and the challenges given to students.

Just a quick comment – slide 16 on presentation 2 has a wonderful picture of highland Aymara women from Bolivia, with a title that references the case of the lowland Chiquitano people. Perhaps my ex-colleagues at Oxfam America would share a Chiquitano picture from that case with you.

  2. Duncan, this must have been a great weekend for all who attended. I love the PPT poisoning slide – we’ve all been guilty of that! On the question of how change is possible in global health I would recommend a (ahem) superb article I wrote a couple of years back – http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20924870. Apologies for the shameless plug – I dream of the day when someone other than my mother reads my work.
